Konflikt ’47 Defiance Supplement Now Available to Pre Order

The weird war of 1947 envelops more of Europe as the Italians split to join both Axis and Allied forces. Plus new weaponry is introduced in the brand new supplement, Defiance, to take your Konflikt ’47 games to a whole new level!

This book is the second supplement for Konflikt ’47 and seeks to expand the game’s boundaries further by introducing more units, forces and army build options. The largest section of this supplement introduces the divided nation of Italy, with the forces of the Royalist Co-Belligerent Italian Army (Eserciti Cobelligerante Italiano or ECI), fighting their former allies, the German Wehrmacht. Mussolini’s remaining forces, the Fascist National Republican Army (Esercito Nazionale Repubblicano or ENR) hold the north of the country propped-up by the German military machine. As in the previous supplement, we have looked at some of the existing rules that needed refinement, and have introduced further rules to allow the use of more elite and specialised units. Players of the existing five core armies will also find something new for them as well, with each nation getting some new units from their respective Rift-tech laboratories.

The book is divided into four sections, the first covers the new rules and errata, as well as the rules for national variations on the standard Reinforced Platoon structures in Konflikt ’47. The second introduces the fractured nation of Italy, with both some expanded history and the details of its forces. Then we turn to the new units of the existing nations before the final section presents additional information on the Konflikt ’47 setting, including a small mini-campaign that is set firmly in the Konflikt ’47 alternate history.

New Releases for Konflikt ’47

Warlord Games has several new releases for Konflikt ’47, their alternative history miniatures war game!

The Automated Infantry are capable of carrying considerable firepower, these 10 ft tall automatons can be used to spearhead assaults and defend rear-guards, protecting the British solider from these dangerous and casualty-heavy tasks.

Coming with MMGs standard on their profile, the bare minimum number of automatons can dish out 8 shots together which can certainly keep any enemy squad on its toes. Take 5 of these and you are looking at 20 shots from this squad alone, no need for an army if you have two squads of these tin soldiers advancing relentlessly into the enemies ranks!

The Soviets recognised the versatility of the German Spinne walker and were able to reverse engineer much of the technology from captured examples. Using biped technology stolen from the US, they were able to produce the Cossack. Fast and agile it is an excellent recce vehicle. It excels in the open and often difficult ground that covers much of Eastern Europe.

A whole new front of the war has been opened with the new and highly agile US Firefly Jump Infantry, the gargantuan Kodiak Walker and the ‘packing-a-punch’ Heavy Bazooka team!

New Konflikt ’47 Releases

Warlord Games has some new releases for Konflikt ’47, their alternate history miniatures war game.

The German’s are getting the Tottenkorps, and Heavy Panzerschrek team, while the US gets a new Mudskipper mech.

The animated corpses of the Totenkorps divide military opinion, whilst an ethical affront to even military minds, their impact on the battlefield and role in saving Germany in 1944 cannot be denied. The Korps now often finds itself held in reserve until required, normally kept as a weapon of last resort under the most fanatical and loyal SS Commanders.

The panzerschreck was a German development of the bazooka, firing a large calibre shaped-charge rocket projectile. A blast shield was fitted to the weapon to protect the firer, giving it its distinctive appearance. Carrying an even heavier version of the panzerschreck, heavy armoured infantry can get closer to their targets and wreak havoc on armoured vehicles.

US M2A1 ‘Mudskipper’ Jump walker is a heavier platform deisigned to give the jump infantry some genuine punch as they advance in to enemy territory. With shock absorbers to handle the jumping manoeuvre and a stripped down chassis to save weight, the Mudskipper is proving a battle-winning addition to Jump Battalions.

New Soviet and British packs available to preorder for Konflikt ’47

Available to order now these are the first preview blister packs for the Soviets and British in Konflikt ’47 from Warlord Games.

Box sets for both these awesome troop types will come later in December!

British Armored Infantry:

As most nations began adopting heavily-armoured infantry, the British took a more extreme view. With automatons providing close fire support to the infantry, it was decided that any armoured troops should be capable of providing a punch beyond that of current infantry. Therefore the British developed the Galahad Armoured Suits, intended to overwhelm opposition strongpoints. Although limited in number, careful and considered use has meant they have a growing and largely victorious reputation.

Resiliant and tough, a squad will normally consist of 1 NCO and 3 to 7 men

Soviet Heavy Infantry:

In a rush to keep up with their foes, Soviet infantry armour was developed quickly and put into use not long after their rivals. Cumbersome and bulky, the Soviet suits lack subtlety, but their effectiveness is not disputed. Unlike other nations, the Soviet heavy infantry is considered more of an anti-vehicle unit.

Slow but resilient tank hunters, squads usually consist of an NCO and 4 to 9 men, 4 of which can replace their assault weapon with a dual weapon pack!

New kits for Konflikt ’47 available to order from Warlord Games

Warlord Games and Clockwork Goblin have really started to bring Konflikt ’47 to life and there are some new releases available to order now!

M8 Grizzly Medium Assault Walker the first truly practical walker designed using Rift technology; the Grizzly is a watchword in rugged and practical design. Armed with the proven 75mm gun and a .50 HMG, the Grizzly is versatile and adaptable

The Spinne (Spider) speed and agility makes it almost the perfect recce vehicle for close terrain and urban environments. The open-turret allows the gunner/commander to maintain anti-air overwatch and maximises his situational awareness.

Rift-tech was rapidly used in the development of heavy armour for the Wehrmacht to ensure casualties in intense operations were kept to a minimum. One of the first nations to introduce heavy personal armour, it is effective and provided a much needed boost to the German war effort when first deployed. Other nations have copied the principles, often to better effect, but the heavy infantry remain a potent force on the battlefield.

Pre-Orders open for Konflikt ’47

Konflikt ’47 is a standalone game inspired by the hugely successful Bolt Action, designed by Clockwork Goblin Miniatures and produced by Warlord Games and Osprey Publishing. Adding to the core rules that many gamers are familiar with from Bolt Action, Konflikt ’47 allows the addition of completely new types of units and models to existing 28mm Bolt Action armies and the creation of completely new forces set in the alternate future of 1947.

Konflikt ’47 introduces ‘Weird War’ weaponry – including the stunning range of walkers and other mechanical monstrosities!

As World War II continues beyond 1945, the battling countries have become even more desperate to develop new super weapons to give them a winning advantage. Exploiting new technologies revealed from the first nuclear explosions, the Axis and Allied forces quickly develop new tanks and strange armoured walkers to become the vanguard of their armies, supported by new highly equipped or terribly twisted troops. City of Judas from Dreamlord Press is a new Alternate History Crusades RPG, available now.

In this dark fantasy, sword & sorcery setting you are a member of the Brotherhood of the Iron Fist, a company of mercenaries who work in the shadows in the City of Judas. The setting focuses around an imaginary Jerusalem, heart of flaming religious crusades between the church of Christ and the cult of Judas, with the new sept of the Book of Q getting stronger each day.
