Warlord Games Release 2 New Iconic Daleks and Genesis Ark Ship Minis

Jan 22, 2018

Warlord Games are proud to announce an all-new boxed set for their Doctor Who Time Vortex Miniatures Game, Maximum Extermination! featuring two unique Dalek metal figures, the fearsome Special Weapons Dalek and the red Supreme Dalek. The set is finished off with a beautifully crafted resin Genesis Ark.

The Special Weapons Dalek, first seen in the 1988 story Remembrance of the Daleks, is a heavily-armed Dalek featuring greater offensive capabilities than a regular Dalek, and was built to withstand even the strongest enemy fire. This unique design featured an enormous energy canon mounted on the upper half of its body, replacing the usual eye stalk, manipulator arm and gun stick found on standard Dalek casings.

After the return of Davros and the resultant reestablishment of the Dalek race, the red coloured Supreme Dalek commanded this new Dalek empire. His design was more similar to a regular Dalek, however, he sported gold coloured ridges around his casing and gold spheres on his skirt section.

The Genesis Ark was a prison ship constructed using stolen Time Lord technology. Although only slightly larger in size to a normal Dalek casing, it was dimensionally transcendental, like the TARDIS, bigger on the inside than the outside, and transported millions of Daleks from the Last Great Time War to the present day, where the Ark was opened and the Daleks inside were released into the sky above Torchwood Tower to wreak havoc upon humanity.

These three beautifully sculpted figures are a welcome addition to our range and are the first to contain Exterminate! Game cards inside the box.

Doctor Who: Time of the Daleks from Gale Force 9!

December 14, 2016

Gale Force 9 is giving us a first look at their upcoming Doctor Who board game, Time of the Daleks!

“All of time and space; everywhere and anywhere; every star that ever was. Where do you want to start?”

In Doctor Who: Time of the Daleks, players take on the role of the Doctor, travelling throughout time and space, finding new companions and having adventures to repair the web of time. Players do this by overcoming challenges. The Doctor can overcome most challenges he encounters, but he always needs his Companions to help give him an edge. Players must cooperate to stop the Daleks, while trying to get their TARDIS to Gallifrey first, to prevent Davros from invading the Matrix in the first place.

The Web of Time is used to monitor progress in the game, as the Doctors and Dalek progress towards Gallifrey. If the Daleks get to Gallifrey first, the Doctors Lose the game, If a Doctor gets there first, the Doctors win the game.

Dalek Dice coming this June

May 10th, 2015

Cubicle 7 is working on a dice game based on the hugely popular “Doctor Who” sci-fi television show. Dalek Dice is a stand-alone strategy game from the point of view of the exterminating extraterrestrial cyborgs.

As would be expected, it seems that the goal of the game is to kill all the humans. The way to win is to kill more humans than your opponents. And, apparently, you have to watch out for the Doctor because “he has a way of foiling your plans.”

The game was designed by Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello, who created the One Ring role-playing game and the Hobbit Tales card game. The game is scheduled to launch this June for $15.

Cards Against Humanity is the hilarious party game for horrible people, and now you can mix the game’s political incorrectness with your knowledge of Doctor Who thanks to a fan-made edition called Cards Against Gallifrey.

Because Cards Against Humanity is published under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike, anyone can make their own cards for the game, provided they publish them under the same license and don’t sell them. The comedy group Conventional Improv performs a game show based on Cards Against Humanity at different conventions, and this fall, in honor of the Doctor Who 50th anniversary, they played Cards Against Gallifrey and have made their version of the game available to the public. Naturally, it’s crude, offensive, and imagines most of the cast naked.

You can see the cards on imgur (a few samples are below) and download the entire deck through dropcanvas. You could even give them normal Cards Against Humanity backings and play them as part of your larger deck.
