Antares Dice Game from Warlord Games

January 17th, 2017

Warlord Games has introduced a new Dice Game in the Antares universe! Beyond the Gates of Antares the Dice Game is available now!

Take on the battling forces of the Concord IMTel, the symbiotic Isorians, the bio-adapted Boromites, the twisted Ghar Empire or the warlike Algoryn Prosperate to claim control of the Gates that lead to new planetary systems to trade and colonise.

With each faction bringing a unique twist to the otherwise simple rules, roll the Skirmish dice to score victories on your campaign and claim the Gate. Each player’s round represents a military offensive that will give the chance for scoring victories, but be aware of the Fate dice opponents will play against you as they can twist your results and turn a clear victory into a total failure!

Two new tanks for Konflikt ’47

December 16th, 2016

Warlord Games is releasing two new tanks for Konflikt ’47 and it’s as easy as putting a funky new turret on an old vehicle. That’s what we’ve got here with the Soviet T-34/ZP and the Cromwell with Tesla Cannon.

The Russian armored fist returns with the T-34/ZP that comes armed with the Zvukovoy Proyekor, a concussive weapon that can decimate an entire enemy platoon at close range.

Meanwhile, re-armed and ready for battle, the Cromwell with tesla cannon brings together American ingenuity and British craftsmanship by putting a Tesla Cannon on the rugged and reliable Cromwell tank.

Both of these are available to order now from Warlord Games.

War Elephants come stomping in to Hail Caesar

November 21st, 2016

Warlord Games has made available War Elephants for Hail Caesar, the historical miniatures game

The armies of Alexander the Great encountered elephants in the armies of their enemies – the Persians and Indians. The Macedonian King was sufficiently impressed by these exotic beasts to raise an elephant corps for his own army. After Alexander’s death the Successors, who divided his sprawling empire amongst them, continued to make great use of elephants in battle. Indeed, the Seleucids, the Macedonian rulers of Syria and much of the old Persian Empire, succeeded in defeating an invading army of Galatians by the cunning use of elephants to sow panic among the enemy horsemen, resulting in a whole-scale rout! This famous battle is known as The Elephant Victory and it took place in Asia Minor – modern Turkey.

The Egyptian Successors to Alexander were the Ptolemies, who also maintained a large herd of elephants, and because their chief foes were the Seleucids to the north the two often clashed. In these battles over the lands between Syria and Egypt, elephant often fought against elephant. Over time, it became harder to obtain new elephants, so their numbers dwindled, but no matter how few they were always a much feared and respected part of the armies of the Successors.

Expand your herd with this set of two magnificent beasts.

New Konflikt ’47 Releases

November 10th, 2016

Warlord Games has some new releases for Konflikt ’47, their alternate history miniatures war game.

The German’s are getting the Tottenkorps, and Heavy Panzerschrek team, while the US gets a new Mudskipper mech.

The animated corpses of the Totenkorps divide military opinion, whilst an ethical affront to even military minds, their impact on the battlefield and role in saving Germany in 1944 cannot be denied. The Korps now often finds itself held in reserve until required, normally kept as a weapon of last resort under the most fanatical and loyal SS Commanders.

The panzerschreck was a German development of the bazooka, firing a large calibre shaped-charge rocket projectile. A blast shield was fitted to the weapon to protect the firer, giving it its distinctive appearance. Carrying an even heavier version of the panzerschreck, heavy armoured infantry can get closer to their targets and wreak havoc on armoured vehicles.

US M2A1 ‘Mudskipper’ Jump walker is a heavier platform deisigned to give the jump infantry some genuine punch as they advance in to enemy territory. With shock absorbers to handle the jumping manoeuvre and a stripped down chassis to save weight, the Mudskipper is proving a battle-winning addition to Jump Battalions.

New Dr Who miniatures range set to explode in the Warlord Games store!

November 6th, 2016

Materialising soon in the Warlord Games’ store – the much-anticipated first monsters for the Doctor Who Miniatures Game range: the shape-changing Zygons and the fearsome Judoon.

Able to metamorphose into replicas of other living organisms and fire electrical charges from their hands that can stun or disintegrate those it touches, the Zygons were stranded on Earth centuries ago. The Zygons have a mission to take Earth as their new home after Zygor, their homeworld, was destroyed in The Time War.

Single-minded in their pursuit of the law, these black armoured Rhinoceroid bipeds serve as a mercenary intergalactic police force affiliated to the Shadow Proclamation. Known for their strict adherence to the law and their brutish application of it, the Judoon have been harshly but accurately described by the Doctor as logical but stupid.

The Doctor Who range is due to explode, with all of the Doctors, all Companions, and as many additional expansion packs as we can muster… already available are the Tenth and Twelfth Doctor sets – each with four companions:

Avenger Attack Skimmer available for Beyond the Gates of Antares

October 15th, 2016

Algoryn Commanders, it’s time for war… attacks flare across the Determinate, and the foes of the Prosperate grow more menacing by the day. Support is needed, and is being hurried to the front lines

Now available from Warlord Games is the 28mm scale Avenger Attack Skimmer for Beyond the Gates of Antares!

Able to be armed with either the Mag Light Support, Mag Cannon, or Twin Mag Light Support, the Avenger is a key strike weapon in the Algoryn arsenal which benefits from being a MOD2 unit… meaning that it gets two Order Dice rather than one… so you can fire those Twin Mag Light Supports TWICE in a turn if you so desire!

The Avenger type skimmer is a lightly built two man fighting machine designed for raids and support missions. It is modestly armed and armoured compared to larger fighting machines but is ideally designed as a strike weapon relying upon its speed to launch its attack and evade enemy retaliation. It is sometimes used in company with Intruder skimmers as part of a long-range raider force, providing additional firepower where needed.
